Matthews receives a great benefit from my professional financial experience. My financial background enables me to provide Matthews with the fiscal guidance required to avoid reckless expenditures to keep property tax rates low and quality town services high. After graduating from University of South Florida in Tampa, I began my financial experience with Bank of America in Charlotte as a Regulatory Accountant within the Finance Team and advanced to Vice President of Finance. I currently work for Wells Fargo Bank as Vice President - Finance within the Home Equity Group.

23 years of dedicated service and experience for the Town of Matthews.

Three generations of Taylors in Matthews:

My wife Joselyn and I are long time residents of Matthews. We have been married for 27 years and have two wonderful children, Breanna, graduated from UNC-CH, and Brandon completed his first year at UNC-CH this past May.  Joselyn is a Registered Dental Hygienist and works part-time for dentists in the Matthews area and teaches at CPCC. She is also an avid sports competitor having completed multiple triathlons. In addition to my immediate family, I am happy to have Joselyn's parents and my mom living here in Matthews.
